The Claris Cartonate Hardness Test Kit allows to measure "temporary hardness" - "carbonate hardness" - "buffer" in German degrees °kH.

How to use: Fill the bottle with 5 ml of water from the tap. Add drops of test fluid.
The water will discolor immediately. Add drops until the color of the water turns.
The total number of drops until the final complete discoloration = X "DUITSE degrees" °kHNOTE: After a salt softener, such measurement is "NOT APPLICABLE".
A carbonate hardness test will give the wrong result.
